The Atomuffler® Air Dryer Muffler, from Allied Witan Co., is a compact sound-suppression and particulate-filtration device built for desiccant regenerative-type air dryers. It uses a dual-stage filter element to trap abrasive desiccant dust and moisture while dampening explosive exhaust noise. To prevent hazardous backpressure, it features an integrated mechanical relief valve that automatically opens and diverts the airflow safely to the atmosphere if the internal filter elements become clogged.

Maximum Operating Pressure: This product family is officially recommended for active pneumatic purge lines running at pressures up to 175 psi (12 Bar).
Safety Relief Threshold: Outfitted with an autonomous integrated relief valve that automatically opens if the internal air pathway becomes obstructed by heavy desiccant cake or dust buildup.
Exhaust Protection Function: The internal mechanical bypass safely diverts the high-pressure air stream directly into the atmosphere to protect upstream drying towers from catastrophic pressure shocks.
System Maintenance Condition: Free desiccant fragments, dust, and loose fines must be entirely blown out and purged from the air dryer lines before installing a new muffler or immediately after recharging towers with fresh desiccant bed material.
