ArdeeSort is an advanced dry beneficiation technology that utilizes dual-energy X-ray transmission (DE-XRT) principles to distinguish organic coal from inorganic mineral matter on a particle-by-particle basis. As material passes through the sorting modules, each particle is scanned using high-speed X-ray sensors that analyze differences in attenuation caused by variations in elemental composition. Sophisticated processing algorithms evaluate the ash-to-organic ratio of every individual particle within microseconds, after which precision pneumatic ejectors remove high-ash material from the product stream.

The complete system typically begins with primary crushing using Ardee's Rotary Breaker HE Series or other suitable crushing equipment, followed by screening to produce the desired feed fractions. The sized material is then processed through modular ArdeeSort units that separate clean coal from shale and stone without consuming water or generating slurry. Depending on the application, the recovered clean coal can be directed to stockpiles, washery circuits, thermal power stations, coking plants, cement kilns, or industrial boilers, while rejected high-ash material can be disposed of or utilized separately.

Unlike conventional wet coal washing, ArdeeSort does not rely on dense media, magnetite, flotation chemicals, or water-intensive separation processes. The technology produces no tailings or effluent, requires only a compact installation footprint, and can be deployed as fixed, skid-mounted, or trailer-mounted modules for permanent or mobile operations. This flexibility allows the system to be integrated into new installations or retrofitted into existing coal processing facilities with minimal disruption.

ArdeeSort is particularly valuable wherever reducing ash content improves downstream performance. Mining companies benefit from transporting less waste rock, coal washeries receive a cleaner feed, thermal power plants achieve improved combustion efficiency and reduced ash handling, while steel and cement manufacturers benefit from more consistent fuel quality and lower operating costs. Its modular architecture also enables capacity expansion as production requirements increase, making ArdeeSort a scalable solution for a broad range of coal beneficiation applications.
